This MOD-approved battlefield study tour by a 35-strong all-ranks group from 1st Bn Coldstream Guards will revisit the areas where their predecessors operated as part of UNPROFOR, the UN’s humanitarian support operation in central Bosnia, in the period Nov 1993 to May 1994.
As the commanding officer at that time, I have been invited to reflect on the lessons learned.

Talk given at the Coldstream Guards Association’s Band Branch Grand Reunion lunch to its members about the importance of music to the members of the 1st Bn Coldstream Guards armoured infantry battlegroup in Bosnia (Nov 1993-May 1994) on Operation GRAPPLE 3, including the visit by the Coldstream Band to Sarajevo on 20 Mar 1994 to play in the Olympic football stadium at the invitation of General Sir Michael Rose.
